Building operational clarity from complex infrastructure.
I work where networks, infrastructure, automation, operational data,
and people meet — turning disconnected systems and technical evidence
into tools that make complex environments easier to understand and
operate.
The recurring problem is rarely just monitoring, automation, or
software. It is understanding which systems matter, establishing
trustworthy operational state, and presenting that state in a form
people can use.
Live observability · Solutions engineering

Global perspectives · Network and HTTP analysis · Historical replay
2026 · Live demonstration
A working network-observability demonstration integrating real
ThousandEyes Cloud Agent and Enterprise Agent measurements with
secure data collection, geographic comparison, operational insights,
and a replayable historical archive.
Problem
Network latency, HTTP response time, and user experience do not
always tell the same story across geographic locations.
Approach
Preserve ThousandEyes native diagnostics while using its read-only
API, a private measurement archive, and a curated public feed
for cross-agent analysis and historical replay.
Demonstrates
Solutions engineering, network visibility, API integration,
data provenance, comparative diagnostics, and durable
operational intelligence.
A synthetic water and environmental infrastructure company built as a
working operational model: shared state, business-service dependencies,
infrastructure evidence, program reconciliation, and operator response
presented through audience-specific views.
Problem
Business leadership, IT operations, and program teams need different
answers from the same underlying conditions without losing a shared
operational reality.
Approach
One state model connects locations, business services, programs,
evidence, condition ownership, and lifecycle while each audience
gets its own operational surface.
Demonstrates
Operational modeling, information architecture, evidence provenance,
dependency reasoning, reconciliation, and interactive state management.
A change-management and network-operations platform developed during a
large enterprise wireless deployment where multiple operational systems
reported different versions of deployment state.
Problem
Customer, deployment, network-management, and wireless systems did
not agree on what had actually happened at a site.
Approach
Establish an authoritative deployment view, correlate independent
infrastructure evidence, automate collection, and present the result
through a purpose-built operational platform.
Demonstrates
Enterprise-scale reconciliation, platform architecture, Python-based
automation, network-management integration, and solving across a
complex enterprise deployment.
A recurring practice of building small and large systems around real
infrastructure problems rather than treating automation as a separate
specialty detached from operations.
Examples
Monitoring and telemetry collection, configuration and inventory
tooling, workflow integration, network and security automation,
operational reporting, and cross-system correlation.
Method
Begin with the operational need, identify trustworthy sources,
automate repetitive evidence gathering, and expose only the
information people need to act.
Demonstrates
Breadth across networking, security, software, APIs, observability,
and business workflow without losing the infrastructure context that
gives the automation meaning.
Approach
Start with the operational problem.
Establish authoritative sources. Automate evidence collection.
Reconcile systems rather than blindly trusting one. Build the
smallest useful operational surface. Expand when actual use
demonstrates the need.
The technology changes. The method has remained remarkably
consistent.
My work has crossed infrastructure engineering, solutions architecture
and sales engineering, technical leadership and management, automation
and platforms, and professional services. The same role often belongs
in more than one of those stories.
A chronological view of selected professional experience.

Technology is only one place I apply it. A few other interests occupy
significant territory outside my professional work.
Writing & Research
Long-form writing, historical research, source evaluation, and the
slow process of developing ideas far enough to be worth publishing.
Independent Publishing & the Web
Small publishing and web projects, particularly where ownership,
simplicity, independence, and direct relationships with readers matter
more than scale.
Land, Agriculture & Systems
Farming, land stewardship, resilient systems, and the interaction
between biological, economic, technological, and human constraints.
Alternatives to Social Media
Exploring ways to publish, connect, and converse independently
online, without advertising, engagement rankings, or centralized
control.
Contact
Conversation is usually the next useful step.
If something here overlaps with a problem, role, or environment worth
discussing, I am always interested in a substantive conversation.
